All-on-4 dental implants replace a full arch of teeth with a fixed set of teeth held on four dental implants. At Northern Smiles Dentistry & Orthodontics, All-on-4 costs about $30,000 total. Whether it suits you is something only an exam can answer, so the first step is a consultation with Dr. Troy Stansberry at our office on 16th Street in North Phoenix. Call (602) 944-9197 for a consultation, or send us a request online.

What are All-on-4 dental implants?

All-on-4 replaces a full arch of teeth with a fixed set of teeth that's attached to four dental implants. A dental implant is a small post set into the jawbone that works as an anchor. With All-on-4, four of them support the whole set. The "4" in the name is simply the number of implants. You may also hear it called full-arch or full-mouth implants.

Unlike a regular denture, you don't take it out at night. A conventional full denture rests on your gums and comes out for cleaning. All-on-4 teeth stay attached to the implants, and only the dental team removes them.

It's an option for people who are missing most or all of their teeth in one jaw, or whose remaining teeth can't be saved. Whether it suits you is something only an exam can answer. For a longer explainer, read what All-on-4 dental implants are.

Is All-on-4 right for you?

A consultation is how you find out. Dr. Stansberry will look at your teeth, gums and jaw, talk about what you want, and go over your options, including whether All-on-4 makes sense for you. People often ask about it when one of these sounds familiar.

You're missing most or all of your teeth in one jaw

All-on-4 replaces a whole upper or lower arch, not one tooth at a time.

Your remaining teeth can't be saved

Your exam shows which teeth, if any, can be kept.

You're tired of a denture that moves

You'd like teeth that stay in place instead of a plate you take out.

You've been told you may not have enough bone

Bone is one of the things your exam looks at, along with your gums, your general health and whether you smoke. Ask what your results mean for you.

All-on-4 or implant-supported dentures?

Both use implants. All-on-4 is fixed: the teeth stay in and only the dental team removes them. Implant-supported dentures snap onto implants and you take them out to clean them. If you're comparing the two, see implant-supported dentures. We'll walk through both at your consultation.

All-on-4 is for replacing a whole arch. If you're missing one tooth or a few, see single and multiple dental implants. For a removable full or partial plate with no implants, see dentures.

Questions to ask at your consultation

Before you decide

Questions to ask at your consultation

Bring these with you. Clear answers will help you decide, whichever option you choose.

  • Am I a candidate, and why?

Ask what your exam showed about your teeth, gums and bone, and what that means for All-on-4.

  • What are my other options?

Ask how implant-supported dentures, a conventional denture or individual implants would work in your mouth.

  • What does my quote cover?

Ask what's included in your total.

  • How many visits, and over how long?

Your plan sets both, so ask for them.

  • How do I care for the new teeth?

Ask what cleaning and check-ups they'll need.

  • How can I pay?

Ask about your insurance and about CareCredit.

What is All-on-X? +
